Hello everyone!
Here's a detailled description about my hair routine.
Washing
I'm washing my hair three times the week. I know many long haired ladies and gentlemen that are sometimes found in longhair forums now say something like "uh, pretty often!", but my scalp gets mad if washed less often. I have a very oily scalp that even gets dandruff sometimes, and because I love to wear my hair half down in all those complicated half-up styles, I want it clean and fresh. So, I'm washing it thrice a week.
Before I wash, I usually ake an oil treatment for two or three hours, sometimes longer. As a shampoo, I'm using the Babylove Pflegebad (click for codeckeck!) and shampoo my hair twice to get all the oil away-but I only shampoo the roots, the lenghts are getting clean with the foam that runs trough them when I rinse the shampoo out. I don't use conditioner always because my hair is getting very, very slippery with it, but if, then I use the Balea Seidenglanz Conditioner (click for codecheck!). I usually wash in the early evening, around 18 o'clock or so, so my hair is nearly dry when I go to bed.
Caring after Washing
After I shampooed and sometimes conditioned my hair, I rinse everything out well and then my hair gets packed in a towel for ten minutes or so. Then, I release it, brush it with my wooden brush (very carefully, since wet hair is really sensitive) and make my part. Then I use a little Shea Butter in the ends and some Alverde Bodybutter in the ends and lenghts, up to my ear (click for codeckeck!). Then I just let it air dry.
In-between-washes-care
On the no-wash-days, I'm using some Alverde Bodybutter every evening to smooth my hair out.
Styling and Hairstyles
I looooove curls and waves (as, I think, all straight-haired persons do *lol*) but I don't like heat on my hair. Usually, I sleep with one, two or even more french braids so I can get various waved looks-from loose, natural waves over smaller, thighter ones to really crimped-looking hair.
Styling products like hair spray or mousse are not used on my hair.
Every moring, I make my hairstyle for the day. Usually, that means halfups-I enjoy to cover Game of Thrones-hairstyles, they're not complicated but look just stunning- or a side braid, I don't like buns because having all my hair out of my face makes my look very strict and boring.
Colouring
I confess: that wild honey colour is not completly natural! By nature, I have a goldish blonette on my head. I colour with Logona Sahara of Logona Goldblond (click and click) once a month to intensify the golden-coppery glow, but it's not really a big effect. I don't even see my roots growing out, it just gives me a little, little difference. The Logona colours are natural plant colours (like henna) and add strenght to my hair instead of damaging it like chemical colours would do, so I use them also for a treatment.
Trimming
I trim my own hair with the Feye-method in a perfectly straight hemline. I have no layers and no bangs. Every month, I take 0,5cm away to keep the hemline thick and prevent spliss. Works great!
